As the virus spreads, more and more people inevitably become infected, such as the case with COVID-19. The world becomes divided as panic ensues. Conspiracy theories run rampant as scapegoats emerge to make sense of this chaos. Politicians project their carelessness onto their opponent. Even the world’s leading scientists are cast aside for  the tin-foil hat absurdist. In the end, only a vaccine can save humanity. Sounds familiar, huh?
